ABOUT
Piper Charron is a multidisciplinary artist from Downeast Maine. He primarily focuses on experimental art, influenced by his experience growing up surrounded by the ocean. He enjoys sewing and repairing clothes, reading about historical drama, and swimming during his free time.
Piper has a background in technical theater with a focus on projections. He created and operated live projections, working with Adobe Creative Suite, VDMX5, and Q-Lab. He has won multiple awards for this work through his time in theater.
Piper worked at MAGIC Spell Studios as Senior Animator. He focused primarily on Toon Boom Harmony rig creation and scene layouts. The challenge of making a rig that achieves all necessary movements but can be easily controlled and made within a fast enough timeline is exciting and always a new challenge!
Piper graduated summa cum laude with a BFA in 2D animation from the Rochester Institute of Technology in the spring of 2024. He received the Irene Pfizennmaier Award for Excellence in Graphic Expression, and were recognized at their graduation ceremony. Piper currently resides in Downeast Maine, biking while searching for his next work opportunity.
