I Want to be Alone
I Want to Be Alone is a non-traditional narrative portraying a unique way of participating in an everyday experience. By blending techniques such as 2D digital animation, paint-on-glass, direct-on-35mm film, cut-paper puppets, watercolor, and cel animation, the viewer is immersed in a colorful new perspective of the hustle and bustle of city life.
Sea Smoke
Sea Smoke is a short experimental 2D animated film following the course of a Nor’Easter storm rolling through a small coastal town. Inspired by my experiences growing up on an island off the coast of Maine, this film portrays the power of the storm through a colorful multimedia memory collage that speaks to the cycles of the natural world and the way they intersect with the modern world.
Ruddy and the Great Flying Machine
Ruddy and the Great Flying Machine is the classic story of a girl and her pet cat instead told from the feline perspective. Plus, airplanes, lots of airplanes! Inspired by my childhood pet cats, the titular Ruddy sees her human playing with a toy plane, and decides she too wants to learn to fly. A colorful romp through the imagination of a cat!
